Halloween is a fun time to get dressed up, go out with friends, and eat lots of candy. But there’s a lot of controversy surrounding Halloween costumes: which ones are up to standard, and which ones are more of a flop? A lot of people love doing group costumes, like the Scooby Doo crew or superheroes, and some people prefer to do their own thing, like movie characters or food items. Halloween brings many different traditions for BSM students to enjoy.
Many students at BSM are looking forward to dressing up and going out with friends on Halloween. People can take Halloween costumes really seriously, going as far as dyeing or cutting their hair, extreme makeup or SFX, and others are content to just spend money to make their costume look realistic. “I mean, I don’t really know, I’d probably spend like $30,” junior Sofia Barranco said.
Although the costumes are super fun to plan and see in action, a lot of students are most excited about going out with friends on Halloween. Going to parties, eating a lot of candy, and bonding with friends is basically what Halloween is about for teenagers. “I want to go to parties and after the parties I would probably just hang out with my friends and then spend the night,” senior Asiyah Wilson said.
People love unwrapping a good candy bar on Halloween night and relaxing while watching scary movies. A lot of people would argue that the candy is the best part of Halloween. “Candy is for sure my favorite part of Halloween. I don’t care what anyone else says,” Wilson said.
Halloween is a super fun and thrilling holiday with the costumes, candy, parties, and fun attractions/activities. Speaking of parties, a lot of students are excited for the Halloween parties on Halloweekend. “I definitely think that my favorite part of Halloween is dressing up all cute, putting on something that I feel confident in, and going to a fun party with all of my friends,” Barranco said.
