Bailey Miller might be one of the most well-known people in the walls of Benilde-St. Margaret’s. She has been working for Taher Inc. (BSM’s food service) for seven years. She is at school every day and has been able to create relationships with the faculty, staff, and students. Bailey is known for her bubbly personality and love of sports. You can always count on her to say hello and ask how your day is going. While everyone knows who Bailey is, it’s time to dive deeper into seeing what her day-to-day looks like at BSM.
Miller gets to BSM around 8:30 A.M. and starts her daily routine for Taher. “In the morning I stock the drinks, put the frozen cookies on the tray, and get the silverware all ready for lunch,” Miller said.
During all the lunches, Bailey is at the register checking people out, but also catching up with students. Bailey’s favorite part about working at BSM is the students and her coworkers. She loves talking to the students and appreciates everyone’s kindness towards her. Some of her favorite topics to chat with students about are Air Jordan shoes, anything related to basketball, events going on at BSM, and professional sports. “I think [all the BSM students] are so nice and so awesome. My coworkers [are] awesome and some of them even call me Bails which is one of my nicknames,” said Miller.

After she is done scanning students’ IDs, she gets to eat her lunch. This is time for her to eat with the other Taher staff as they eat together every day. Taher provides all of their employees with lunch each day and Bailey enjoys that perk, so she doesn’t have to make lunch for herself. She has many favorite food items but likes to stick to the basics, “I like the chicken strips and fries. I Love [Taher Chef] Wheezy’s spaghetti,” Miller said.
At around 1:30 P.M., Bailey’s job is complete for the day. She then texts her parents and heads to the library to be picked up. While she’s waiting, you can see her reading any kind of book. After she gets picked up, she either goes home, to a BSM sporting event or adds to her shoe collection.
