Video games are becoming more popular, and new technologies are making new sports games more realistic. One of those new games is NBA 2K22, a highly anticipated recent release.

Each year, 2K comes out with a new game that includes the new, drafted players, game updates, and better graphics. This brings excitement to the gamers and buyers who want to buy the new game, as fans love playing with their local NBA team and new star players.

NBA 2K22 is available across the XBOX and Playstation 5 consoles. As new consoles are released, the NBA 2K producers will come out with new updates, such as “my park” mode and better graphics on players and stadiums. I think the graphics are very well implemented and I am shocked to see the game quality in motion.

New updates to this year’s game include updated gameplay, new player ratings, local PA announcers, and major changes to the “my career” mode. The new PA system is unique to this year’s game because each stadium has their respective PA announcers which gives them some attention and honor. I love this feature because it gives fans a sense of home when they hear their favorite announcer in the game.

The most popular mode in NBA 2K is the “My Park” mode where you create a myplayer and have to accumulate VC (NBA 2K currency) and badges (makes players better) to make their player better in the park. Players team up and play either 3v3 or 2v2 in the park against teams of other “my players” teamed up. This mode gives players the ability to showcase their creativity and skills. If an NBA player joins your park, an NBA logo will appear on their gamertag and will oftentimes accumulate a crowd following them.

The other major game mode is “My Team” where you build a team full of players all around the NBA. This is NBA 2K’s version of the mode ultimate team which is found in Madden, NHL, and MLB the show. In this mode, you control a whole team as opposed to a single player. You can customize your uniforms, jerseys, team name and location, and your team chemistry.

While an improvement upon last year’s game, NBA 2K ’22 fails to reach the heights of the 2019 version. The 2019 version was better due to the balance in players and it being a more skill based game. However, I think the graphics this year are really good and there is not as much lag in the game. My favorite mode is “My Park” because I like to play with my friends and team up with them. The game is also nice to have when your friends come over and you can play them in a “Quick Game”. NBA 2K22 is a great game to play with your friends or alone, and I suggest you go out to the local store and get this game.
