In Eden Prairie on Saturday, March 14, seniors Meghan Ortizcazarin and Jon Cadle decided to do the polar plunge as a way to raise money for kids in the Special Olympics.

They wanted to do it as a way to raise money for kids in need and also because they thought it would be something fun to do. ย โ€œEach person that was there raised at least 75 dollars or more,โ€ Ortizcazarin said. ย โ€œWe thought it was a good cause and something fun to check off our bucket list.โ€

The event was not too serious but also a lot of fun for the participants, as many of them dressed up in various costumes. ย โ€œA lot of people there were in costumes so there were people dressed as pirates,โ€ Ortizcazarin said.
