Internet troubles cause standstill in classes

Recent malfunctions in Comcast towers for the past two days have caused the Internet signal to be inconsistent, leaving students and teachers to become flustered. Many students’ homework and teachers’ lesson plans revolve around the use the Internet for downloading and submitting assignments and presenting information. Some of the websites used on a daily basis for a BSM student include Haiku for class assignments, school email for updates, and YouTube clips for class lectures. “I feel like I can’t get anything done without the Internet, and teachers don’t know what to do without the Internet, so we end up doing nothing in class” junior Betsy Cawood said. Although there was a time when schools were able teach without the use of laptops and smart boards, this has proven that we are all very dependent on our technology.
