On Monday, Feb. 10, BSM students involved in National Honor Society participated in the 14th annual Valentine’s Day dance at Parkshore Senior Campus in St. Louis Park. After discovering that a “Senior Citizens Prom” in May was too difficult to schedule with seniors anxious to graduate, a Valentine’s Day themed dance proved to be a much better option.

BSM has received very positive feedback from residents at Parkshore each year as well as the event coordinators there because of events NHS has hosted such as the Valentine’s Day dance as well as a holiday-themed party.

Not only do Parkshore residents enjoy the NHS organized events, but members of the NHS enjoy these nights as well. The Valentine’s Day dance is always a favorite among girls in NHS; however, it is a bit more challenging to recruit boy volunteers for this event. “When the kids do attend our Parkshore events, they almost always really enjoy them, and often sign up for more of them,” Mr. Rob Epler, the adviser of NHS at BSM, said.
