Local bakery brings French culture to Maple Grove
Classic French cuisine can be experienced in the midst of Maple Grove at Chez Arnaud- French Bakery with their many wonderful dishes, from macaroons and pastries to scrumptious sandwiches. The cozy, cute restaurant with a french twist is the place to be. It’s a restaurant that will leave taste buds and travel itches wanting more.
Owner Arnaud moved to the Twin Cities from Paris to start his business with his great uncle in the fall of 2010. They came to the cities with imported ovens from France, ready to bake breads and wonderful pastries. With no French bakeries in Maple Grove, he knew this was the perfect place to begin his business.
Every pastry, macaroon, cake, baguette, and croissant are made from scratch on a daily basis. Weekly, the bakery switches out their roll flavors based on the season and what’s fresh, including cinnamon apple, pumpkin, banana, and Nutella. The Brie Jambon, a personal favorite, consists of Brie cheese layered with ham and cheese on their fresh homemade bread.
Not only will the pastries and rolls leave one licking their fingers, but Chez Arnaud also has great breakfast and lunch options: quiche Lorraine, asparagus cheddar quiche, and daily lunch boxes, which contain a choice of sandwich, drink, and pastry. Their cappuccinos and coffee drinks compliment any meal or tasty pastry perfectly.
The business is booming and the Maple Grove area couldn’t be more satisfied with the delicious pastries and food. For those wanting to do more than just eat, pastry classes are offered, which will help one learn the tricks and magic behind the wonderful food. Whether one is dining in, getting it to go, or having them cater, Chez Arnaud gives customers a wonderful experience with their homemade treats to enjoy in a charming and quiet place.
