Sarah Letscher, Staff Writer

For the fifth consecutive year, BSM will host about 40 Japanese students from its sister school, Kaisei Gakuin, located on the island of Hokkaido, Japan, for one week in October. They will land in Minnesota on Wednesday, October 9 and depart on Thursday, October 17. In addition to experiencing life as a BSM student, the Kaisei visitors will tour the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, St. John’s University, the College of St. Benedict, and the Basilica of St. Mary. On the last day of their trip, the students present a “Sayonara” show for their host families. Mrs. Hamill, Associate Director of Admissions, is coordinating their adventures. “It’s a culminating experience for the BSM community to learn from the Kaisei students” said Mrs. Hamill.
