After an extra-innings win over Cooper, the Red Knights faced the Totino-Grace Eagles in a contest that would decide who would take first place in the North Suburban Conference. Even though the Red Knights had defeated the Eagles earlier in the season 3-1, the Red Knights were unable to sweep the season series as the Eagles took home an 8-2 win. Totino-Grace’s Ben Peterson had two home runs in the game and collected four RBIs and even though the Red Knights outhit the Eagles ten to eight, those two home runs from Peterson were the difference. Dan Labosky, Keaton Studsrud, and Mikey McGill all had multi-hit games for the Red Knights with Studsrud and McGill recording the two RBIs for the Red Knights. The Red Knights return to action with a conference matchup with the Irondale Knights on Friday May 17.
