Junior Abbey Miller has committed to play Division I hockey at Syracuse University in upstate New York beginning in the 2014-2015 season. The Benilde-St. Margaret’s goalie posted a 95.5% save percentage, leading Minnesota in this statistic. Her goals against average also leads the state with an average of only .73 goals allowed per game. Miller has played on the BSM Varsity hockey team since her freshman year and became the starting goaltender her sophomore year. This year she received All-State Honorable Mention along with an All-Conference award. After completing her high school hockey career with the Red Knights, Miller will have the opportunity to play her freshman year in college. “I went out for a visit and really liked the campus, and I know a couple girls on the team and they really like it out there. It’s just a really good fit,” Miller said.
