Knight Errant: How did you meet?
Jason: She asked me to Holiday Ball junior year and then we hung out in a group and she liked me, but I didn’t return the favor and I asked her best friend Katherine Foy to Prom but the day after Prom we started dating, but she liked me the entire time.
KE: How long have you been dating?
Madeline: It will be a year in April.
J: Yeah, on the ninth. Or tenth. No, the ninth.
KE: What did you do on your first date?
M: So, he really wanted to ask me out but he was afraid to. I’m really bad at science, so he told me that if I got a good grade on my science test he would take me out to breakfast. I ended up getting an A on my test so we went out to breakfast.
KE: Where do you see yourself in six months?
J: At college. We’re going to the same college, St. Ben’s and St.John’s, so we see ourselves together.
M: Unless he ditches.
KE: What do your parents think of him/her?
M: They like him, we go out on triple dates with my sisters.
J: They’ve seen better. I’m kidding. They really like her.
KE: Do you like his/her friends?
J: She’s too scared to meet them.
KE: How do you communicate?
J: We write long letters to each other.
M: No we don’t.

Knight Errant: How long have you been dating?
Elise: Good question, about a year and a half.
KE: What did you do on your first date?
Grant: Candle-lit dinner out by the beach in Florida.
E: Yeah he took me on a private jet.
G: In a Rolls Royce, actually.
KE: Where do you see yourselves in six months?
E: Sad, I don’t wanna think about that, college.
Grant: Grant’s gonna be gone, I’m serious I’m gonna be gone.
KE: What do your parents think of him/her?
E: My dad always talks about him and hockey and my grandma is obsessed with him.
G: My mom likes her a lot.
KE: Do you like her/his friends?
E: I love Lobes and tj’s pretty cute.
G: Which ones….
KE: How did you meet?
E: 9th grade and I hated you… In Ms. Koshiol’s English class.
G: I was never in her English class……this is awkward.
KE: Did you ever have a thing?
E: I don’t know, we don’t do that.
G: A couple of weeks probs.
KE: How do you communicate?
E: Like any other normal person does.
G: E-mails, voicemails, letters.
E: Yeah he writes me handwritten letters.
G: Telepathically
E: Yeah I read his mind. We don’t need to talk, it’s nice. First time I went to Grant’s house I was tackled in his front lawn by John Backes.

KE: How did you meet?
Katie: Well technically we met on the bus, but we didn’t know that.
Mikey: Yeah…
K: But really we met each other in Honors English 9.
M: But we had chemistry and were lab partners… with Giulia
KE: How long have you been dating?
K: 9 months and 2 days.
M: Or 9 days…
KE: What did you do on your first date?
M: We went to Chipotle.
K: I never went there before. I was saving it for something special.
M: Like our first date.
KE: Where do you see yourself in six months?
M and K: At ND together.
KE: What do your parents think of him/her?
K: My parents are surprised that I got him. I think my dad talks about him every time I talk to my dad. He says we’re the cutest couple.
M: They love you. Since my sisters are gone my mom likes having Katie around.
KE: Do you like his/her friends?
M: (nods)
K: They’re really weird and funny. Except John Backes… He’s not nice to me.
KE: Was it love at first sight?
K: YES. It was love at 2 years after sight.

Danny: We met on the ninth grade band trip.
Rachel: We were there and it rained the whole time. We were at a cafe and we were eating pizza, and we were there with some friends, and we just started talking.
KE: How long have you been dating?
D: 2 and a half years.
R: It will be 3 in march.
KE: What did you do on your first date?
R: We went to see a movie. I don’t even remember what movie.
D: Date night. It had Steve Carell and Tina Fey in it.
R: Yeah I remember that. It was a really bad movie.
KE: Where do you see yourself in six months?
D: None of your business.
R: It will be the end of summer… So getting ready for college. I don’t know, we haven’t decided on what we’re gonna do with our relationship yet. We’ll decide once we get there.
KE: What do your parents think of him/her?
D: My mom said, and I quote: “She’s a class act.”
R: They think he’s a pretty good guy, and my brothers like him too. It’s been three years, so they’re used to him.
KE: Do you like his/her friends?
D: Yeah.
R: Yeah. I mean, we have developed our friends and they’re kind of the same and our friend groups have merged together over the years.
KE: How do you communicate?
D: We communicate face to face, on the phone and texting.
R: We rarely use social media stuff. We text a lot, when we’re busy we’ll send each other a text just saying hey.

Shannon: He asked out one of my friends, but my friend didn’t like him back. She told me to let him down easy…

S: 2 years basically.

D: We went to see a movie.

D: I don’t know, you know..probably with another girl.
S: Alone and depressed.

D: My parents like her more than her parents like me.
S: They think he is quite a scholarly, young man.

S: I hate his friends.

Nate: We’ve known each other since seventh grade. In January of 2012, we started hanging out.

N: 356 days.
Megan: 15th of this month is our anniversary.

M: Honestly, neither of us remember.
KE: Where do you see yourself in six months?
N: At college. Relationship-wise, we don’t know.
M: We haven’t talked about it yet.
KE: What do your parents think of him/her?
N: I don’t know. I don’t talk to my parents.
M: They like him.
KE: Do you like his/her friends?
N: Of course, I love her friends!
M: Yeah, most of his friends are my friends. Especially Paul.

N: We don’t talk, ever.

Kaitlin: We don’t know. All I remember is sophomore year we had homeroom together and all he did was sit with his headphones and watch basketball videos and I made it a personal goal to talk to the kid who never talked to anyone.

Alex: A year.
KE: What did you do on your first date?
A: Went to California Pizza Kitchen.
K: Played Dance Dance Revolution with my sister.

K: Married, five kids and a dog named Rufus.

K: My dad doesn’t know his name, he called him Alec.
A: My dad is in love with her, her name is “bomb dig.”

K: Yeah, I can’t understand what they are saying most of the time.

Megan: We both have a similar interest in spaceship engineering.

P: December…?
M: No, it was November.
P: Mmm…No it was December. So like a month.

M: We don’t go on dates.

P: Working on the remake of Star Trek.

P: They don’t know about her, but in all honesty, her parents love me.
M: My mom loves him more than me.

P: No.

P: Sign language.

Dan: Freshman year Ms. Bartels’s math class.
Maggie: I didn’t even remember you were in that class.

M: 1 year and 8 months.
KE: What was your first date?
M: We went to Interlachen, right?
D: No, we went to a movie.
M: That was with my brother, that doesn’t count.
D: It counts.

M: That’s a good question.
D: I don’t know.
KE: What do your parents think of him/her?
D: They think she’s really nice and sweet and they like her.
M: They love him. My dad goes to every hockey game. No more double dates with my parents though…

D: Yeah they’re really nice, and nice to me. Haven’t had any bad experiences.
M: They’re funny and nice to me so I like them.

D: I don’t think she liked me that much.
M: I liked him! Why you say that?
KE: Do you go on dates often?
D: Like once every two weeks.
KE: What is your favorite thing about her?
D: I’d say her personality.
M: He plays hockey. Just kidding, I love everything.

D: Maggie gives me good back massages.
