Having shown great improvements from the start of season, the girls’ alpine team, along with boys, left their Afton Alps sections race with fifth place. Racking up total of 355 points, the team presented two state qualifiers, senior Mary Grace Ardnt and sophomore Alex Setchell. Ardnt, one of the captains and a star skier, placed seventh with 1:06.53, and Setchell finished 16th with combined time of 1:11.17. The two female racers will head to the state meet at Giants Ridge on February 13.
