The popular student art museum website, Artsonia, awarded sophomore Brigitte Coverdale the title of “Artist of the Week” for the week of May 22 to May 28. The website selects twelve different art pieces created by students ranging from pre-kindergarten to high school to win the title. Entered by her clay teacher Ms. Theresa Puffer, Coverdale’s green tea pot caught the eye of over 15,000 voters on the website, ultimately ruling her as the champion of the high school age group. Coverdale holds the title as the first BSM student to win this prestigious award. “It makes me feel like my art is good enough,” said Coverdale. “It gives me confidence in my work.”
