After nearly six hours of playing in the unfavorable weather, the girls’ JV lacrosse team’s offensive and defensive skill earned them second place in a tournament hosted by Eden Prairie on May 21. Of the six games the team played, four games were won and two were lost. Dominating the competition in games one, two, three, and five, the team was satisfied with their performance during the tournament, even though the championship slipped out of their hands after losing the fourth last game of the day. “It was a long day. It was basically three hours of straight running, and we played in the pouring rain. We could have won the tournament but we aren’t disappointed with how we played; we had a strong performance,” said junior center Cat Kernan.
