Juniors Jake Horton and Ned Nelson received the St. Louis Park Caring Youth Awards at a ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, April 27. The city of SLP honors students who demonstrate characteristics of a caring person. This award was created by the city to encourage and reward day-to-day caring and concern, as well as unselfish volunteering. The award ceremony was a televised event––appearing on St. Louis Park’s public channel–– and aimed to create a feeling of community-wide unity around the values of caring and kindness.
