Reviving Ophelia is back this year with two goals in mind: boost self esteem for high-school girls and have fun. This group meets every other Thursday and amidst fun activities, such as gift exchanges and rollerblading outings, promotes positive and healthy lifestyles in girls.
Reviving Ophelia includes about 20 girls from all grades which helps them to meet new people, both upper- and underclassmen. The group acts as a safe haven for girls to talk about and relate to other teenage girls’ everyday issues. “It’s a place where you can feel safe and feel healthy, positive and good about yourself,” said Ms. Amanda Anderson, a group leader along with Ms. Baker.
