As the leaves turn red and orange, and the cool breeze takes over the warm summer air, many people are changing gears from summer activities to fall activities. As fall includes holidays such as Halloween and Thanksgiving, there are many activities that come with them.

With fall being many people’s favorite season, there are countless activities that people fill their time with. One of them being haunted houses. Many people enjoy the adrenaline rush that being scared gives them. With the large number of haunted houses and scary places you can visit in Minnesota, you can experience the thriller of Halloween for yourself. “I’m going to try and go to all the haunted places and all the scream towns,” sophomore Esmé Bell said.

Fall has many festive foods that people like to enjoy when the weather turns cold. Many students enjoy pumpkin seeds, candy corn, and caramel treats. But as fall is also an apple season. Apple orchards are a very popular place to go to get the best-tasting apples. “I enjoy picking [apples] and tasting them because they taste really fresh,” Bell said.

I still dress up even though I’m getting older, but I’ll never stop dressing up and I still go trick or treating

With fall comes Halloween. Plenty of people enjoy costumes for themselves or their pets as well as decorating their houses to show their Halloween spirit. On the night of Halloween, there are numerous things people do to have fun. Whether it’s trick or treating or going to a party, a ton of people love to dress up in a costume. “I still dress up even though I’m getting older, but I’ll never stop dressing up and I still go trick or treating,” sophomore Ella Peters said.

There are many things that represent fall, one being Jack O’Lanterns, during the month of October. Many people are starting to pick up their pumpkins and carve them into many designs. “Me and my family go to get pumpkins and apples…then we go home to make pumpkin seeds,” sophomore Estella Tornquist said.

While the temperature drops, many are turning on their favorite fall movies to watch with their family and friends. Whether it’s a scary movie or a fun comfort show, there are countless options to choose from. Over the past 23 years, the TV show Gilmore Girls has been a hit, constantly making a recurrence during the fall season. “Gilmore Girls…that’s my fall season show,” Bell said.
