Meet the Red Knight: Attendance Secretary Kathy Jacobson

Claudia Scherer

Kathy Jacobson thinks that students are not as smart as they think they are.

Where do you want to be in 15 years?
“Well, I’m retiring this year, so I am hoping that I’ll be traveling quite a bit and spending a lot of time at my cabin still.”

What talent do you find unique or important to you?
“I don’t know if it’s a talent, but my ability to laugh at everything. My ability to make fun of myself and laugh.”

Describe your childhood in 4 words.
“Carefree, loving, adventurous, family.”

Who is your hero, and why?
“Michelle Obama. I think it’s because she was thrust into a situation that was very difficult, and she handled it with such grace.”

What is an item you bring with you everywhere, besides a cell phone?

What makes you laugh?
“Students. Teenagers. They think they’re so smart, but they really aren’t yet.”

Are you someone that wants someone to spoil the end of a show or movie for you?

What is your least favorite fast-food chain?
“Burger King is my least favorite just because I think they’re gross inside.”

What fast-food chain is your favorite?
“Panera. Is that considered fast food? I would say Panera would be my favorite.”
