Meet the Red Knight: Senior Oriana Sampson
Where do you want to be in 15 years?
“I think I’d like to be in Thailand, or I’d like to own an expensive art collection. I’d like to own Rococo paintings.”
What talent do you find unique or important to you?
“Open-mindedness. If you want to explain something [to me], even if I’m very against it, I’m willing to hear you out on it without getting very angry and calling you a demon.”
Describe your childhood in 4 words.
“In English or Spanish.”
Who is your hero, and why?
“There’s a woman I know, her last name is X, and I feel like she’s such an icon because she’s so smart, but she’s not the type to show off and be like, “Oh, I’m better than you,” and she listens. Every time she speaks, it’s something super powerful and super insightful to a conversation, and I really admire that about her, and she’s been a feminist since day one. She’s very sure in herself, and her beliefs, but she doesn’t come off as angry or an attitude, too; it just comes from a place of understanding, and I feel like that’s a characteristic not many people have.”
What is an item you bring with you everywhere, besides a cell phone?
“My wallet. I need my keys and Chatime punch card.”
What makes you laugh?
“Myself? There’s some YouTubers that I think are really funny. I like talking to other people, too; I think other people are really funny.”
Are you someone that wants someone to spoil the end of a show or movie for you?
“It actually doesn’t matter because I don’t watch the end. Let’s say a show is 60 episodes—I will stop at episode 55.”
What is your least favorite fast-food chain?
“Kentucky Fried Chicken. One time, I went to KFC, and then I threw up for the next two days, and I haven’t had KFC since.”
What fast-food chain is your favorite?
“Honestly, I really like 5 Guys.”
