Yes, that’s supposed to be a pun on the word float. Get it?

Edina Creamery – 2034, 5055 France Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410
This local store offers unique flavors along with the atmosphere of a classic, 1950’s ice cream shop. One of their most distinct flavors is Apple Pie, which offers an almost exact taste to eating the actual thing. Other popular flavors include coconut almond and caramel cookie praline, which all feature the same, creamy taste.
Sebastian Joe’s – 1007 W Franklin Ave S. Minneapolis, MN 55405
This shop is a staple to the Twin Cities, with locations in both Linden Hills and Lowry Hill. Their most popular flavor is their classic raspberry chocolate chip, along with their signature flavor, Nicollet Avenue Pothole, which is a mixture of chocolate, caramel, heath bar chunks, fudge truffles, and a fudge swirl to top it off. Besides just ice cream, Sebastian Joe’s also offers coffee and baked goods. The unique flavors make no visit to the twin cities complete without a trip to Sebastian Joe’s.
Lick’s Unlimited – 31 Water St, Excelsior, MN 55331
This ice cream shop has been a predominant location in downtown Excelsior since it opened many years ago. Opened in 1990 by the “Ice Cream Man” Lorad Lessard, Lick’s welcomes millions of customers each season. They offer over 40 different flavors, and they have feature flavors every month. Their signature flavor is Salted Caramel-Chocolate, which offers a rich chocolatey flavor with an abundant (yet not overwhelming) caramel hue. Currently, Lick’s is offering a special feature ice cream known as “Exhausted Parent”. It is a bourbon-spiked espresso ice cream with bittersweet chocolate chunks, perfect for anyone (especially parents) who needs a bit of a break.
Honey & Mackie’s – 16725 County Rd 24 #106, Plymouth, MN 55447
Honey and Mackie’s was opened in 2011, becoming Plymouth’s only stand-alone ice cream shop. Their signature ice cream and french fries combination is a huge reason their shop draws in so many customers. They have a few classic flavors that stay on their menu such as Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry. In addition to these, they have a large list of rotating specialty flavors that change each month. In May, their most popular flavor was White Wedding, featuring a rich vanilla flavored base, and chocolate chips with chunks of actual white cake! Their craziest flavor of May was their Butterbeer flavor, which mimics the classic flavor of Butterbeer from the Harry Potter series – a necessity for Potterheads everywhere! This store is also especially aware of eating conditions such as celiacs, vegetarian/vegan, nut allergies, and gluten-free diets which encourages customers to be able to participate in the ice cream way of life!
