In the week of February 9th-15th, the Knightettes took home the first place jazz trophy, ending their season as back to back state jazz champions. Their high kick dance placed fourth overall, which was a step up from their eighth place finish last year. Leading their team to success was senior captain Natalie Chevalier. Not only is Chevalier a passionate dancer, earning a spot on the Wells Fargo All-Tournament Team, she is also a remarkable captain. “Natalie has always been a strong leader on the team, even as a freshman. She is very talented and is one of the hardest workers on the team, always giving 100% and she is really supportive of all the other dancers,” senior captain Margaux Brink said. For her incredible dance and leadership skills, Natalie Chevalier has rightly been named the Athlete of the Week for February 9th-15th.
