Benilde St. Margaret’s junior, Jalen Floyd, recently broke the school track and field record for the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.50 seconds. Floyd had been working on breaking the record for the entire 2014 season. “It had been my dream to break the record. I had been running extra sprints all season to cut down my time so I would have a chance to break the record,” Floyd said.

After reaching this goal, Floyd plans on setting the bar even higher. “My next step will be to set an even better school record by beating my personal best,” said Floyd.
