Earlier in the year, it was announced that due to budget cuts in the St. Louis Park school system, BSM’s health aide Sharon Ingalls would be laid off. The district had decided that they would not provide health services to private and charter schools, but their decision was recently reversed. “Apparently the school district of St. Louis Park decided to continue on as is, which means that they will still be providing health services to more than just public schools,” Ingalls said.
Ingalls will continue working for BSM as health aide next year. “I am ecstatic. I really enjoy being here. I had two children who graduated from here so it kind of feels like being home,” Ingalls said.
