While the majority of students wait for their favorite beaches to open after the school year ends, I anxiously await my nightly escape to the Lake Harriet Bandshell. With live music every night, the bandshell highlights genres from reggae to Broadway’s best. Adults, children, and teenagers alike attend these concerts, fostering a place for Minnesota’s professional artists to gain exposure and the general public to listen to their favorite music. All the while, the views of Lake Harriet and Minneapolis’s lake culture keep listeners coming back time and time again.
