On October 11, 2012, the girls’ soccer team hosted their first section game against Delano, and emerged with a 7-0 victory. After previously upsetting top-ranked Minnetonka, the Red Knights came out strong, scoring two goals in the first five minutes. Junior midfielder Kelly Pannek continued to distinguish herself as a leader of the team by scoring another hat-trick for the Red Knights. But the star of the night was senior forward Dana Buckhorn, who contributed a goal and two assists but more importantly made history by scoring her 100th point. Buckhorn joins only two other alumni of the girls’ soccer program in the 100 point club. The girls’ soccer team will host their second section game against the Chaska Hawks on Saturday at 5:00pm.
