The undefeated girls’ varsity soccer team claimed a well-deserved 7-0 win against conference rival North Branch on Thursday, October 4. Junior midfielder Kelly Pannek scored a hat trick and also added an assist while senior captain, forward Dana Buckhorn, contributed two goals and two assists. Freshman forward Sophie Roux had two assists while senior forward Maria Michels and sophomore midfielder Allie Coughlin each added a goal. In addition to the win, the Red Knights celebrated senior night by recognizing athletes Maria Michels, Annie Michels, Dana Buckhorn, Haley Jerabek, Anne Arnason, Elise Overman, and manager Bailey Forcier. The Red Knights have now gone five years undefeated in the North Suburban Conference. “We owe our success to our stingy defense and aggressive attack,” Coughlin said.
