In the quarterfinals of the section 6AA playoffs, the girls’ hockey team beat the North Metro Stars 11-0 on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Parade Ice Garden. BSM jumped out to an early lead on a goal by senior defender Megan Meskill, which would end up being the game winner. The Red Knights scored three goals in a span of 1:31, and the first period ended 6-0. The Red Knights scored three goals in the second period, and added two more in the third. Senior forward Aly Hoffman had a hat trick and an assist, and sophomore forwards Brittany Wheeler and Caitlin Reilly each had two goals. BSM outshot North Metro 63-3, and sophomore goaltender Abbey Miller got the win and the shutout. BSM faces Hopkins in the semifinals on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Parade.
