With a 3-1 win over Irondale on Tuesday, Dec. 20, the girls’ hockey team secured first place in the North Suburban Conference. Junior forward Anne Arnason started the game off with a goal in the first three minutes. The score remained 1-0 until the last six minutes of the game, when sophomore forward Brittany Wheeler scored a power play goal assisted by junior defenseman Sara Taffe. Irondale didn’t give up the fight though, and made the score 2-1. With four minutes left in the game, sophomore forward Cailtin Reilly added another power play goal.
