On December 3rd, in the girls’ basketball team’s second game of the season they took on the number two in class AAAA Eden Prairie Eagles. The Red Knights, having the lead the majority of the game, almost pulled out the win but lost in a thrilling 1 point overtime defeat, 50-51. The loss puts the team at a 1-1 record for the new season. With the loss also came a career milestone for senior captain Khadijah Shumpert, who scored 14 points in the game fot her 1,000th career point. Senior Josie Dillon scored the team high with 18 points and sophomore Grace Coughlin also contributed with 9 points.
