Strong second half secures conference win

The Boys’ basketball team had a big 78-67 win over the Columbia Heights Hylanders on January 6. The Red Knights held a slim lead of 37-35 after the first half, but the team stepped up their game in the second half. Sanjay Lumpkin had a strong game registering 21 points and holding Columbia Heights top player, Zach Lofton to only 12 points and only 2 points in the second half. In addition to Lumpkin’s effort, Isaiah Zeirden scored 21 points. “It was a great game, there was a lot of energy, the team gave a great effort and they got a lot of support from the players on the bench which helped a lot,” said junior Sevy Gondeck.
