Awarded sixth place for its website in the Best of Show competition, the Knight Errant received its third national recognition in three years at the Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Kansas City, Mo. on Saturday Nov. 13.
The newspaper has won two Online Pacemaker Awards in the past, and winning this award was another achievement for the staff. “I think it’s a great accomplishment for us, especially considering how many schools were in the running,” said Online Editor-in-Chief Morgan Rogers.
This is the first time the Knight Errant has received national attention in a Best of Show contest. “Being nationally recognized is a huge honor, and the KE editors and staff writers should be proud of their work,” said adviser Jason Wallestad, “I am proud of the KE staff for their hard work and dedication to excellent journalism. Their work has paid off.”
