Juniors learn about the college process

Juniors came to school at eight in the morning not to go to class, but to take a day to prepare for college and the application process on Wednesday, February 27. The Building Your Future Workshop consisted of the entire junior class breaking down into groups, and listening to speakers on topics such as the SATs and ACTs, college applications, college visits, selecting colleges, considering careers, and campus life. The purpose of the day is to get students started off early with the application process, so that they don’t panic next fall. “If they can get started early…it will help them so much,” said college counselor Ms. Anderson.
