BSM welcomes new teachers

This year the world language, English, science, physical education, theology, and engineering departments all welcome new teachers.

English: Ms. Andrea Manos

After five years of public relations work and two years of substituting, Ms. Andrea Manos is starting her first year at BSM teaching English.

World Language: Ms. Jiawei Shen

Ms. Li Sun, the long time teacher who started the Chinese program at BSM, has left and been succeeded by Ms. Jiawei Shen.

World Language: Holly Hernandez

The winter of 2018 marks the three year anniversary of moving to Minnesota for Ms. Holly Hernandez, who is BSM's newest French teacher.

Theology: Mr. Sam Vetch

Mr. Sam Vetch is BSM’s newest theology teacher. Hired in May of this year, Vetch will be teaching Intro to Scripture and Jesus Christ: Mission in the Church.

Engineering: Ms. Anne Dougherty

This year, the basement also provides a new home for recently hired engineering teacher Ms. Anne Dougherty.

Science: Ms. Stephanie Lauer

Previously teaching at Anniston High School, Stephanie Lauer is the newest teacher in BSM’s science department.

Wellness Teacher: Mr. Mike Johnston

Students may recognize a new face in the gymnasium this year: Mr. Mike Johnston is the newest addition to BSM’s physical education department.
