Watching a movie is the perfect thing to do on a rainy day, so I was super happy to have tickets to a movie called Arthur the King. It is based on a true story and book from 2016 that tells the story of a man and his team of four racers encountering a dog that follows him along the treacherous race, and their journey together.
In my opinion, this movie is the best one of the year so far. Although we aren’t even halfway into the year, I think it will stay at the top of my list come December. What really made me like this movie was how entertaining it was, which may sound like a generic response to a movie, but my heart was racing when the characters were hanging on a cliff or climbing a steep wall. The way the movie was filmed made it very realistic, and it almost felt like you were in the race with them.
Fast forward to a later part of Arthur the King and the whole movie changes. It becomes more of a dramatic-realistic type of movie and less adventure. I am usually not one to like emotional movies, but this one was really good. They have to work as a team in trying to win and also look out for the dog at the same time. They had to decide whether or not to push through the pain and win, or if they should rest and put everyone’s health first. You could really put yourself in their shoes knowing the story.
I think this movie also brought good messages. You can win in many different ways and if you work hard enough for something, you will be able to achieve your goal. I think it was nice to watch a realistic movie that displayed good messages. Though the movie was centered around the race, there was a bigger picture to the story. Take care of the people around you and never give up on them.
This movie was amazing and I would highly suggest everyone watch it. Even if you don’t like adventure movies, it’s a must-see movie. Especially since this was based on a true story, it makes it even more appealing to watch. I think the movie should get more recognition since many people haven’t hear of it. This is definitely something I would watch multiple times and I would recommend everyone to do the same.
