Bleach is a widely popular anime and manga created by Tite Kubo. The manga has sold over 130 million copies as of 2022. The anime ended in 2012 while the manga ended in 2016. This all changed when the final arc of the show was announced to be animated in 2022 after a 10 year hiatus and fans were hyped.

Bleach is considered one of the Big 3 which were the three biggest anime during the mid 2000’s and it included Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece. The final arc of the manga was not that well received by the fandom because it was seen as sloppy and rushed. The reason for this was the author’s health declining due to overworking himself. When the final arc of the show was announced to be animated a lot of fans hoped it would be handled better than it was in manga.

The first episode was set to release on October 11th, 2022 and once it was, everyone was more than happy with how it was being produced. I remember being skeptical on how good it would be but after watching the first episode I couldn’t wait for the next one. A huge aspect of Bleach is the soundtrack which is regarded as one of the best anime soundtracks out there. This season did not disappoint on the music at all and remixed a lot of the fans favorite songs.

I was highly impressed at the pacing that the anime decided to go with because I didn’t want it to feel rushed as the manga felt. The first 12 episodes that were released for the first season goes over a lot of the content in the books but in a respectful way to the source material without adding much filler at all. The voice acting was another great part of why I loved this season so much. Masakazu Morita who voices the main character Ichigo Kurosaki does an amazing job of portraying the emotion of the character.

Having made its comeback, I believe Bleach has reignited the spark in all of us who love this series. The ten year hiatus was definitely worth the wait for the new continuation of the series and I would assume all of the fans would think the same. Whether it was because of the music, voice acting, or animation we can all agree that Bleach is one of the best anime to ever come out.
