Jack Shields
Knight Errant: What’s your tattoo?
Jack Shields: A sailboat.
KE: When and where did you get your tattoo?
JS: I was 17 and got it in South Dakota.
KE: Why did you choose the design you did?
JS: I don’t really have a deep reason behind it. I like boats, and I’ve always lived on a lake.
KE: How did you choose where to get your tattoo?
JS: I was choosing between the chest and ankle, and I thought that the ankle would hurt since it was on a bone.
KE: Did it hurt? Were you nervous?
JS: I wasn’t really nervous, and it didn’t hurt that bad.
KE: Have you always wanted a tattoo, is it something you thought about for a while or kind of a rash decision?
JS: I’ve always known I’ve wanted a tattoo, but I didn’t know what I wanted.
KE: Do your parents approve of the tattoo?
JS: They did, my mom had to sign something.
KE: Do you think you’ll regret this?
JS: I don’t think I’ll regret it.
