Despite her valedictorian status, high school has been an adventure that senior Estella Beautz is excited to complete.

Val: Estelle Beutz

One of this year’s valedictorians, Estelle Beutz, will complete her journey here at BSM with a 4.0 as she heads off to Notre Dame College next year. Beutz has participated in several activities and will be forever changed by her time here at BSM.

Beutz started her BSM experience in ninth grade. Entering high school, she tried to get good grades, but being a valedictorian was not at the forefront of her mind. Instead, she played volleyball, was involved in RKVC, joined Business Professionals of America and was a part of National Honors Society.

It was not until sophomore year that she realized that being a valedictorian was a very real possibility. Beutz has worked hard to maintain her GPA. “There were some nights where I would have to work on my homework very late into the night,” Beutz said.

Beutz also acknowledges and appreciates her time at BSM. “[BSM] has introduced me to so many of my best friends who have made me a better person. I think [BSM] has taught me how to manage my time by balancing school, sports, and social life,” Beutz said.

She also owes some of her success to her family and friends for the advice and laughs they give. Beutz also gave a special shoutout to math teacher Mr. Dan Bowler for always being willing to answer her questions.

Maintaining the perfect GPA has proved difficult for Beutz during the first semester of her senior year. “This year, first semester, AP Physics. I just squeaked by,” Beutz said.

High school has been an adventure that Beautz is excited to complete this May. Although she didn’t start out with the goal of becoming a valedictorian, this title provides her with opportunity in the next chapter of her life.
