Senior Sarah Kinney has many tips and tricks for success. In her opinion, what made her succeed is putting in actual work

Sal: Sarah Kinney

Sarah Kinney is the only salutatorian this year––managing to only earn one A- her whole high school experience.

Kinney’s success came from studying really hard for classes and doing sher work. “I stressed myself out a lot basically really bad, I just studied, there were a couple close calls, but I just studied and did my homework,” Kinney said.

Throughout the years, Kinney took some pretty hard classes, which is where she earned her one and only A-. She was able to hold a 4.0 GPA for six semesters of high school until her first semester of senior year. “I got my A- in AP Physics so I would say that was hard. Also Honors Pre-Calc was hard for me,” Kinney said

Kinney has many tips and tricks for success. In her opinion, what made her succeed is putting in actual work. “Actually do your work because a lot of people can accomplish things but then just do not do their work or get a little lazy. If you just get your work done, study you still have time to do other stuff,” Kinney said.

However, high school is not all about grades––Kinney had some great memories throughout the school as well. “I just had some good times with my friends, no good memories in relation to my GPA,” Kinney said.

Kinney has a great future ahead and great opportunities coming her way. “I am going to attend the U [of MN]––studying engineering, maybe philosophy or marine bio for my minors,“ Kinney said.
