During the holiday season it is definitely a must to stop by Caribou or Starbucks to get a refreshing seasonal drink. Both offer a great variety of comfort in a holiday drinks.

Caribou Coffee’s list of holiday drinks goes on forever with the many drinks Caribou offers during this time frame. Each year, Caribou constructs a new menu of different holiday drinks, varying from year to year. The menu usually contains limited time offers that should not be missed.

One of the drinks from the Holiday Menu that has not changed for a couple years now is the Ho Ho Mint Mocha. People can not get enough of this drink. The Ho Ho Mint Mocha is not like any other mocha at Caribou. The mocha is the same, consisting of any chocolate one desires––milk, dark, white with rich espresso, and steamed milk. What makes this mocha unique is that Caribou adds little pieces of candy canes inside the drink so every time one gets a little bite of candy cane to go along with it, which makes it one of the best drinks.

Apart from the Ho Ho Mint Mocha, Caribou’s most prominent holiday drink is the Fa La Latte. The Fa La latte is an iconic drink that’s most associated with this time of year because of the main ingredient––eggnog. The drink is composed of espresso, eggnog and topped off with whipped cream and grated nutmeg.

Similar to Caribou, Starbucks offers a wide variety of signature holiday drinks, which typically remains the same throughout the years. One of the most popular drinks offered is the Peppermint Mocha, which is making its debut for its sixteenth year at stores. Other fan favorites include the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha and the Gingerbread Latte.

Finally, classic holiday drinks such as Caramel Brulee and Chestnut Praline Lattes are making a comeback. The Caramel Brulee latte features espresso and steamed milk with caramel drizzled on top, and the Chestnut Praline Latte has the same base structure with hints of chestnut, praline, and other holiday spices mixed in.

The Starbucks equivalent of Caribou’s Fa La Latte is the Eggnog Latte. This beverage is exactly what it sounds like: espresso combined with milk and the signature ingredient, eggnog. Starbucks manages to put a holiday twist on a traditional coffee drink with this latte.

No matter where you stop this holiday season, both Caribou and Starbucks have festive drinks worth tasting.
