Now we’re talking. By this month we’ve already settled into the school routine, and we’re all over mourning the end of summer. The leaves have now moved on to bold shades of red, and they’ve begun falling to the ground. October gives us Halloween, which is a great excuse for me to buy Mr. Goodbars in bulk, and that’s just for my own personal candy stash. During Halloween, I lock my doors, shut off all the lights, grab a few Good Bars, and then watch the Charlie Brown Halloween special.

This month is undoubtedly the high-point of the season, as Halloween gets to remind me of the childhood joy I used to have before I became so old and jaded. October gets four maple leaves out of five
