Black mold at BSM
Somewhere is the hallowed halls of BSM there hides a secret cup of black mold and Mary Youngblut is determined to find it.
May 16, 2017
There is a legend that few people at BSM have ever heard of. And yet, it is a part of our school.
Hidden mold lives among us.
While some community members may meet this claim with absolute disgust, others will simply face denial.
Of all those who have heard the legend, however, only a select few know the whole story…
Once upon a time, there was a chocolate malt. It was left behind one afternoon because it didn’t taste very good; a few students watched as the malt sat unclaimed and forgotten. It wasn’t picked up the next day which confused these unnamed students because they figured someone would find it. But no one had, and no one has.
My older brother Jimmy knew where it was. He tormented me my freshman year as I pestered him for answers. He watched for a whole year giving me broad unhelpful hints as I scoured the school looking for the legend. So now I pass on those hints to you. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to find the old chocolate malt mold.
The (Unhelpful) Hints:
-
It’s not in a central location.
-
It’s up high. (I know this because I was told I would never be able to see it. I took this as a shot at my low stature.)
-
It’s black.
