U.S. Bank Stadium is sure to impress Vikings fans
U.S. Bank Stadium is the new Vikings stadium that was just built in place of the Metrodome, and it is the newest stadium in the NFL. Located at 401 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, the stadium cost $1.129 billion to build and it seats 65,000 people. The very unique and angular design of the stadium makes it look unlike any other stadium in the world. With its unique design, dark black color, and enormous windows, the stadium stands out amongst all of the other buildings in the Minneapolis area.
U.S. Bank Stadium is just as incredible on the inside as it is on the outside. One very noticeable thing about the stadium is the amount of concession stands lining the walls of the main walkway around the stadium. They can be found around the entire stadium and have lots of food choices to choose between. The concession stands sell everything from hamburgers and hot dogs to candy, ice cream, and much more. Remember to bring money because everything at the concession stands are expensive.
Another very noticeable thing about the stadium is all of the beautiful pictures of the players and the purple paint covering the cement walls, along with lots of other details on the walls in the main hallway going around the stadium. The paintings of old Vikings players and history truly bring the plain cement walls and poles to life and makes the stadium feel historic and alive.
The views from the seats are unreal and provide a beautiful angle of the field from anywhere in the building. If one isn’t happy with their view, however, the two giant screens located on each end of the field make it easy to watch from any part of the stadium. Another shocking thing about U.S. Bank Stadium is the way that it holds in noise. It is one of the loudest stadiums in the country, which is good for distracting the other team and making them unable to hear the plays being called.
The stadium isn’t only be used for the Vikings, however. The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team played in the stadium on October 23rd, and several other events are planned as well, such as the Monster Truck Jam in December and the Summer X-Games of 2017. Now, the stadium is home to the Minnesota State Tournament soccer games.
U.S. Bank Stadium is a great upgrade from the Metrodome. It’s bigger, better designed, and well worth the money spent on building it. It is a great addition for the Vikings franchise, and will continue to attract fans for many more years to come.
