“Through my sports and activities I have found out more about myself through the process of dropping and adding [sports]. I used to do volleyball, but now I do trap shooting, basketball, and softball. I started trap shooting last year because my brother did it, and it was the only sport he could drive me to. I continued it this year because I found that I really enjoyed it and the people who do it. Finding more friends also affected me as well as trying new classes. I tried engineering like my brother did, but I realized that I didn’t enjoy it, so I dropped it.” -Morgan Frank

Favorite class you’ve taken?
I think my favorite classes have been Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry. While they’re both really difficult, the people in those classes have been a lot of fun to work with and the classes themselves are really interesting.
Hardest class you’ve taken?
AP Chemistry and AP Calculus are probably my hardest classes because there’s a lot of fundamental concepts that are difficult to understand and wrap your head around. Once everything clicks, it feels great, but it often takes a while for me to get to that point!
Study Hacks?
Turn on a Pomodoro timer and leave your phone on the other side of the room. Also, if you make a cup of coffee or tea beforehand it can also help motivate you because you’ll be building up some energy. Another thing that I love doing is scheduling out exactly what I’ll be studying for what time every day. Over weekends, I spread out which classes to study for and break up each day into a schedule that I can realistically follow, because I know how easily I get distracted.
