Girls’ soccer moves on to State A Semifinal with shutout of Sartell-St. Stephen’s
The Red Knights went up to St. Cloud State Husky Stadium on Thursday, October, 29, to battle Sartell-St. Stephen’s. Ten minutes into the game, senior captain Sophie Roux took the corner kick to senior Taylor Gelling, who headed the ball in the net for 1-0 BSM lead. Later in the first half, senior captain and Ms. Soccer Aleksa Tataryn scored to the upper right corner of the net, with Roux recording another assist, for a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Roux would record her third assist of the night and Gelling her second goal for a 3-0 lead. A few minutes later, BSM would seal the deal against the Sabres as Tataryn would score another with an assist from Ingrid Lundberg this time to give the Red Knights an easy 4-0 victory. Sophomore goalkeeper Claire Grazzini had 5 saves again and with a win, the Red Knights had a date with Princeton in a State A Semifinal.
