The Girls Basketball team was able to secure their 8th win of the season against Eden Prairie on January 6th, 2015, in one of their closest games of the season. The Red Knights struggled in the first half and, unable to put anything together, ended the first half trailing 22-33. The team was able to come from behind, scoring 35 points in the second half. The game was close until the very end but when the final buzzer sounded the Red Knights had pulled away with a 57-55 victory. Senior Sydney Liebl led the team in scoring with 19 points. “We never felt like we were out of it. The whole game felt close even when we were down by 11. The second half we decreased our turnovers and figured out how to beat their full court press. We crashed the board hard and just played an all around awesome team game which resulted in the biggest win for me since playing on the team since freshman year,” Liebl said.
