Senior class Valedictorians and Salutatorians announced
February 7, 2014
Seven seniors who have demonstrated high academic achievement over their past four years at BSM were announced as the Valedictorians and Salutatorians of the Class of 2014 last week. Katie Segner, Julia Krieger, Liz Nicholson, Michelle Sauer, and Sam Letscher were declared Valedictorians, while Carter Burn and Sage Fulco were named Salutatorians.
With her being on varsity basketball and maintaining her perfect 4.0 GPA, Valedictorian Liz Nicholson believes in the importance of balance in her high school life. โDonโt forget grades are far from what defines you. Itโs an honor and definitely something to strive for, but I think itโs important to notย let it get to the point where it becomes the single most identifying thing for you. To me, balance is key,โ Liz said.
Being a Valedictorian comes with the inevitable graduation speech, but Liz does not feel pressure from this. โLuckily, I think the four girls Iโll have with me are more than capable of handling a graduation speech, so Iโm not too worried,โ Liz said.
