BSM connects with its Lasallian roots
As BSM celebrates its 40th anniversary, the administration continues reconnecting with its roots by re-affiliating with the Christian Brothers’ network of schools. As one of the three original founders of Benilde High School, the Christian Brothers promote Catholic education around the world.
Ms. Hoey Germann, Director of Faith Formation at BSM, coordinates the partnership process, that has taken five years to complete. In this fifth and final year, BSM hopes to coordinate visits with Lasallian school administrators, possibly in early February. This process means that BSM joins a network of schools across the country and even the world who use Lasallian school spirituality.
The relationship opens up many opportunities for the faculty and staff to connect with Catholic educators around the world, creating faith-filled classes for the students. “It ultimately connects us to our roots, and it enhances our Catholic identity,” said Ms. Hoey Germann.
