It’s been a successful season for senior wrestler Jarred Oftedahl. In addition to earning a state title this year at the 113-pound weight class, he has been named as one of five All-American wrestlers in the state of Minnesota. To be named an All-American wrestler one must finish in places first through sixth at the Greco-Roman Championship. In Oftedahl’s career, he has finished first and fifth.
The 2012-2013 wrestling season marked Oftedahl’s fourth season as a Red Knight wrestler. “I started wrestling when I was five, and I’ve wrestled with BSM for four years. I enjoy the grind,” Oftedahl said.
Oftedahl recognizes all of his wrestling success would not have been possible without the support from his family and coaches. “Wrestling takes a ton of hard work and dedication. I know I would not have been able to accomplish what I have without the help from my coaches, my family and my friends,” Oftedahl said.
Oftedahl plans to continue wrestling in college next year at St. Cloud State University.
