In their first golf tournament of the year, the girls’ golf team started the season strong by winning the tournament. The tournament took place at Bunker Hill Golf Course in Coon Rapids. Being a mid-conference event, the other schools competing were Spring Lake Park, St. Francis, St. Louis Park, Totino Grace, Irondale, Fridley, North Branch, and Chisago Lakes. BSM scoring a 377 allowed them to defeat the runner up, Spring Lake Park, by ten points. Junior Mackenzie Swenson won first place, shooting an 87, while par was 74. “It was really good to be outside even though the course wasn’t in the best shape, but it was nice out so it was good,” junior Maddie Whitmore said.
