After a strong regular season, the boys’ alpine team finished fifth at sections with two skiers qualifying for the state meet. Scoring total of 404 points, the team fell behind Orono, Blake, Minnetonka, and St. Cloud Breakaways. Grabbing second at the individual race, senior captain Arthur Boyle raced to a combined time of 1:02.80. Sophomore Jackson Fortney, who had one of his best seasons, also qualified for state with 1:06.93. at 14th place. Along with senior captain Mary Grace Arndt and sophomore Alex Setchell, the skiers will head to Giants Ridge for the state meet on February 13.
